You are invited to the 107th “Velika Gospa” (Croatian Fest) on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013 at St. Jerome Parish.
Please join the celebration for a day of worship, fellowship, food, fun, and festivities. There will be something for everyone – folklore dance performances, live music, ethnic cuisine, games, and gigantic raffle prizes.
Novena: Prepare spiritualy with our Novena Masses Aug. 6th trough 14th every evening at 7:00 p.m. Various guest speakers.
Assumption Day Mass schedule: 7:30 a.m., 9:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m. (In Croatian), and 7:00 p.m. Church will be open throughout the day.
Procession starts at 10:15 a.m.
Famous Solemn Procession begins at 28th & Princeton.
Food & Drinks – 8 a.m. till 11 p.m. (Roast lamb sells out early!). One whole lamb or one half lamb has to be ordered in advance by August 10th (CALL THE RECTORY 312-842-1871 TO ORDER).
Booths with a variety of games and items for sale are open throughout the day.
Music and Entertainment: throughout the afternoon and evening.
Fireworks Spectacular at 9:30 p.m.
Raffle Drawing: $20,000.00 Grand Prize – 10:00 p.m.
Closing of the Festivities – 11:00 p.m.
Parking locations: At City of Chicago Lot located beneath I-55 (27th/Wells) - Capacity – 200 Cars, and at Italian American Club (30th/Shields) - Capacity – 80 Cars
