Dear Parishioners and Friends!  

            The Feast of the Assumption - Velika Gospa is a very special day for our parish community. We celebrate this day in honoring Mary for what she has done for each one of us.  We begun it in 1913.  For all these years Mary has become a special friend and trusting companion to all of us. Two thousand years after the Nativity, the mother of Jesus is more beloved, powerful and popular than ever. She indeed became the Mother of many. She is the most famous of mother figures! Two billion Hail Marys are said daily in her honor! Millions and millions go to visit her at her shrines throughout the Globe. St. Jerome is the small part of this global, immeasurable devotion to Mary, the Mother of Jesus. We invite you to join us for our Velika Gospa Novena.  Let's gather around our Mother to heal our souls, our bodies, our hearts. A prayerful and silent adoration in the community of those we know will help us to live in peace in our time of sins and threats. 

            Our Novena starts August 6th through August 14.  Mass during Novena is at 7:00 pm, and the rosary is half an hour before mass. 

             As it has been our tradition throughout many decades, we will be serving good, homemade food, and many other homemade Croatian delicacies... You will also be entertained by live tamburica music, games, bingo, and various other attractions for children.
