Church proclaimed the dogma of the Assumption in 1950:
"The Immaculate Virgin, preserved free from all stain
of original sin, when the course of her earthly life was
finished, was taken up body and soul into heavenly glory
and exalted by the Lord as Queen over all things, so
that she might be the more fully conformed to her Son, the
Lord of Lords and conqueror of sin and death.
The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin is a singular
participation in her Son's Resurrection and an anticipation
of the resurrection of other Christians." VELIKA

ROCCO FEAST On
Sunday, August 19th the feast of St. Rocco
(patron of the sick and the infirm) will be celebrated at
St. Theresa
Church (218 W. Alexander).
A solemn high mass will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M.
followed by a procession.
A novena with anointing
of the sick will be on Saturday, August 18, at 7:30 P.M. For

Ken and Michael and his family.
He will be waked at Bridgeport Funeral Home on
Sunday, August 12 from 2-9P.M. and buried from our church on
