WEEKLY
MEDITATION
When
the Son of God became a human being,
He concealed His divine glory, because
otherwise no human would have come
close to Him. Only once did Jesus let
a glimpse of His true nature slip
through. This was on the Mount
of the Transfiguration. He had
carefully prepared a select group of
His apostles for this revelation. They
were overwhelmed by the experience,
and only Peter managed a dumb-founded
response. Seeing and recognizing two
ancient visitors - Moses and Elijah -
in conversation with Christ, he
blurted out a wish that it would
continue. He offered to build three
temporary tents, like those used on
the Feast of Tabernacles, thinking
that this would prolong the event and
the joy of the occasion. However, as
suddenly as the revelation occurred,
it ended.

An
Irish Blessing
May there always be work for your
hands to do,
May your purse always hold a coin or
two.
May the sun always shine on your
windowpane,
May a rainbow be certain to follow
each rain.
May the hand of a friend always be
near you,
May God fill your heart with gladness
to cheer you.
St.Joseph,
Patron of the Universal Church -
Feast, March 19 - "The
Blessed Sacrament and St. Joseph;
behold our hope in these perilous
times!" (Bishop Pichenot)
"Aside
from the Blessed Virgin, St. Joseph
was the first and most perfect adorer
of Our Lord." (St. Peter
Julian Eymard)
The
Guardian of Our Redeemer
St. Joseph, you were the man closest
to Jesus while He was on earth. You
presided over the events of His
infancy, and your labors provided food
and shelter for the creator of the
universe. You offered Him and Mary
love and unselfish devotion. No spoken
word of yours has ever been recorded,
but still the church with good reason
cries out, "Go to Joseph."
O, gentle man, who was chosen to be
the protector of heaven's most
precious treasures, I seek your
protection over the lives God has
entrusted to my care.
ADORATION
OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT takes
place every Thursday from 7 to 9 P.M. in
our church. We invite all to come to
this evening of prayer and visitation
with Our Lord.
Thought
of the Week
"Faith doesn't get you around
trouble; it gets you through
it."
