WEEKLY MEDITATION

I will judge between goats and ramsMatthew's great parable of the last judgment presents the glorified Son of Man, with an entourage of angels, rising before the nations of the world. The blessed and lost are separated by one norm - the care of others. "Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world, for I was hungry and you gave me food. I was thirsty and you gave me drink. I was a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me. I was ill and you comforted me, in prison and you came to visit me."  This proclamation is formulated four times in the course of the parable. It is worth the four repetitions. For, like many gospel passages, we have heard the words so often that they seem ordinary, even though they are the most revolutionary claims about the human condition that have ever been made!

TODAY at the St. Agnes gym located at 39th and Archer (next to Dunkin Donuts). Admission is $2 for adults and $1 for children. Our Sports Assoc. is sponsoring the games that day and keeps 100% of admission fees collected. This will be an excellent fund raiser for our sports association. Join us today and help cheer our girls on to victory.

ENSEMBLE "VUGA" will be performing in our parish hall on Friday, December 6, at 8 P.M. The 18 members of this group from Croatia will entertain us with music, songs, and dances in a two-part program. Part 2 will focus on Croatian Christmas carols and traditions presented by musicians, dancers, and singers arrayed in national costumes. Two books on Croatian culture and history (written in Croatian and English) will also be available for purchase. Come and enjoy the Christmas spirit of Croatia! Tickets: $10.00 (Under age 12 - free)

MAJOR TENETS OF OUR FAITH This weekend you will find in our pews a booklet that explains the main truths of our Catholic faith. This publication, Outlines of the Catholic Faith, features information about basic Catholic doctrine, sacraments, Church law, and includes traditional prayers. We hope you will avail yourself of this material, and that it will be helpful in gaining a better understand of the beliefs of our faith. Knowledge of our faith is a powerful source of its strength!
